We can sometimes offer a discount on flooring when ordering a large quantity, this applies usually orders over 200m². Please send us an email with your requirements and we can advise.

Most products on our website are stock items and therefore delivered to you or available for collection within 1-2 working days. Standard delivery is 1-5 working days, however if items you have ordered are not in stock we will always contact you with stock date details and to discuss alternatives or arrange a refund. If next day delivery is imperative to your order we would advise contacting us before placing the order, so we can make sure next day delivery is possible. Email is usually the quickest way of receiving a response to stock queries.

We can offer a fitting service for commercial projects over 50m² in the East Midlands, West Midlands and some parts of London. Please email details of the projects along with sizing and project plans/ drawings to us.

Unfortunately the collection branches listed on our website are our partner distributors only and therefore you cannot purchase and collect products direct at the branch. If you wish to collect your order rather than have it delivered, you will still need to place the order via our website and await collection confirmation and very importantly collection reference (as the branch will not recognise the order number). If you desperately need your order, we would always recommend contacting us before placing the order, so we can check stock with the branch. In many cases the goods need to be transferred to the specific branch, although this is usually over night and therefore collection is often available from the next working day. Products by Heckmondwike, Paragon, Interface, IVC Burmatex and Gradus carpets are not available for collection.

It is vital to choose the correct adhesive for the type of flooring. We offer a wide range of adhesives by all of the top flooring brands such as F Ball, Tremco and Mapei to name a few. Our product pages will usually advise on the recommended adhesive, however you can also contact us to check (sales@ukflooringsuppliesonline.co.uk) or refer to the F.ball RAG guide;

To find out how much flooring you need for your project, you need to correctly measure the room and work out the area. If the room is a simple square or rectangle shape then measuring and working out the amount of flooring is fairly easy; multiple the width measurement by the length measurement and that will give you the amount of square metres you require. For example if your room is 6 metres long and 3 metres wide, the area will be 18 metres square because 6 x 3 = 18. You would require 18 square metres.
If the shape of the room is more complex then you will need to split the room into square/ rectangle sections. For each square or rectangle sections multiply the width and length to find the area. You should then add the areas of each rectangle/ square together to find the total area of the room. For example, if you have an L shaped room, this can be split into 2 rectangle sections.
Even if the room shape is more complex, the method of splitting the room into square/ rectangle sections still works, you will just have more sections- just remember to jot all of the measurements down! If you are having the installation of your flooring carried out by a professional, then it is always worth checking the measurements with them and discussing how much waste material is required.

Important Note

We advise to add 5-10% wastage that occurs in any installation, depending on which floor you go for. 5% is often standard waste and to add 5% the calculation is to multiply the total area by 1.05. When the flooring is parquet or tile, the installation starts in the middle of the room and therefore requires a waste allowance of 7-10%.

Measuring for carpet

As mentioned above, the first step is to find out the area of the room by measuring the length and width and multiplying. With carpets you need to allow for extra material for the installer of your carpet to ‘cut in’, usually 5cm on each side of the room for the carpet to be accurately trimmed. For example, if your room is 2.7 x 3.9 metres, you would select a 4-metre width and 2.75 metres in length, giving you 11m2 in total- this allows for the extra material explained above.
