Styccobond F40- High Tack Dual Bond Adhesive
The Styccobond F40 is a water based, pressure sensitive adhesive that can provide either a ‘peelable’ release bond or a permanent bond. To achieve a peelable bond the adhesive should be allowed to dry and form a transparent, tacky coating before laying the flooring onto it. A peelable bond will allow the underlay or carpet to be lifted when required, without significantly damaging the flooring or subfloor. To create a permanent bond the flooring should be fitted onto the adhesive when it is wet. A permanent bond is often required when securing carpet sheet.
Styccobond F40 adhesive is commonly used when fitting underlay or carpets with a wide variety of backings, such as felt, secondary, unitary and many others. F40 is applied using a trowel and is also suitable for use over underfloor heating systems.
